How do I get an image onto the canvas?

Drag and drop a file, use the uploader, or paste from the clipboard with ⌘V / Ctrl+V. Multiple shots land in the filmstrip so you can restyle a set together.

Yes. The editor has a mobile control layout. For the most precise framing and batch work, a desktop browser is still the better fit.

Do you upload my screenshots?

No. Paste, framing, redaction, and export all run in your browser on the canvas. Screenshot files are not sent to our servers. Sign-in and billing only cover Pro access; they do not receive your canvas images. See the privacy policy for account and analytics details.

Can I redact sensitive information?

Yes. Draw blur or pixelate masks over API keys, emails, passwords, and staging URLs before you export. Redaction happens on the canvas; nothing leaves until you download.

Yes. Besides soft blur, you can draw styled blackout tape with a diagonal security pattern when you need a harder mask.

Where are drafts and preferences stored?

On this device in browser storage. Clearing site data for byteframe.app removes local drafts and preferences. They do not sync across browsers or computers.

macOS windows, Safari and Chrome browser chrome, iPhone and laptop shells, curated gradients, custom backdrops, pattern overlays, grain, and optional 3D tilt.

What export formats are supported?

PNG, JPEG, and WebP at 1×–4× scale. PNG is the default for crisp social posts. You can also copy the result to the clipboard.

Yes. Drop several shots into the filmstrip, apply one look, and export a ZIP. Batch export is part of Pro.

How do I keep LinkedIn or X from cropping my mockup?
